Last month, I asked everyone to register their selection of DotNetNuke in the 3rd Annual PacktPub CMS Awards. The community has come through and your voices have been heard. I am pleased to announce that DotNetNuke has been selected as a finalist in the Best Overall CMS category and in the the Best Other CMS (non-php) category.
Now is not the time however to rest on our laurels. We are not satisfied with just becoming a finalist. We are in a good position to win both awards. So this time I am asking you to do more than just vote. I am also asking everyone to repost the links to the voting. Lets really saturate the community with this important news.
I would really like for not just DotNetNuke, but also the entire .Net Open Source development community to get the recognition we deserve. It seems like every other award is constantly going to PHP, Perl and Java Open Source applications. It is time we let the rest of the world know that the .Net community has a thriving Open Source community that is passionate about our applications.
You can also nominate an MVP for every Open Source CMS, so there is someone from our community who you think has most significantly contributed to the development and management of the project, go ahead and nominate them.
So go vote and then go spread the word.
